Kelly Massicot is a proud, born and raised New Orleanian. Massicot is currently the web and social media editor for Renaissance Publishing. Along with her duties of ruling the interwebs, Massicot writes New Orleans Bride Magazine’s daily wedding blog, Let Them Eat Cake, the monthly HealthBeat column for New Orleans Magazine and contributes to New Orleans Bride.
During Massicot’s formative years, she attended New Orleans’ Mount Carmel Academy. Because there’s no place like NOLA, she stayed close to home and earned a degree in marketing from the University of New Orleans. During her college career she served on both the executive board and as a chairman for the Theta Kappa Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority, president of the Leadership Cabinet and as a UNO Orientation Leader – to name a few – solidifying her reputation as a board, committee and meeting ninja.
When she is not diligently working, Massicot spends her time enjoying copious amounts of wine and cheese, getting lost in any Broadway production provided by The Saenger, taking artistic pictures of the neighborhood cats – coffee table book available soon – trying new restaurants and obsessing over her Chiweenie dog Hugo.
